The MSc Management & Development of Digital & Audiovisual Content and the cultural market

“With more than 200 feature films produced in France and more than 200 million admissions, our country remains the largest film market in the European Union. But we often forget that France is also a land of first-rate filming!

However, it would be too simplistic to consider this very dynamic market only in terms of film production. Indeed, France is also a country of production of multiple genres such as TV fiction, advertising, documentaries, short films or even flow programs. The French audiovisual market, by its singularity, has allowed our country to become one of the major players in this industry.

However, we cannot simply list these trends without addressing the profound changes in the audiovisual sector. Indeed, the ways of accessing and consuming content have become extremely diversified with the emergence of digital technology and the arrival of new players (publishers, distributors of VOD services, SVOD, etc.), which have considerably disrupted the industry’s traditional business model.

The MSc Management & Development of Digital & Audiovisual Content aims to train students for jobs in the production, distribution and broadcasting of content. The specialization is thus articulated around these three blocks of skills. The program allows students to acquire extremely practical skills through an introduction to filming techniques (shooting and sound). Thus, students can understand the essential technical and economic constraints in order to integrate them at the development stage of a project.

The training is designed to enable each student to acquire the skills required for the entire value chain of an audiovisual work, regardless of its genre (development, pre-production, production and post-production).

Firmly anchored in new technologies, the program also integrates specific course modules such as SMO applied to audiovisuals or content distribution on new VOD and SVOD platforms.
