When it comes to choosing a career path after the baccalauréat, it’s important to understand the differences between the courses available.
INSEEC offers 2 distinct courses: the BTS and the Bachelor. While these two courses offer interesting career opportunities, they meet different needs and student profiles.
Here are the main differences between these two courses to help you make the right choice!
INSEEC BTS: a 2-year vocational training course
INSEEC BTS (Brevet de Technicien Supérieur) is a 2-year course, accessible on and off Parcoursup. This course is designed for students who have a clear idea of their career plans, as they have to choose a speciality in the first year.
- 100% work-linked training: from the first year, students work in a company, enabling them to rapidly acquire skills and become immersed in the world of work.
- A Bac +2 diploma: At the end of the BTS, students obtain a state-recognised diploma (Titre RNCP level 5), which enables them either to enter the job market directly, or to continue on to the3rd year of the Bachelor’s programme to deepen their skills and obtain a Bac +3.
Good to know: The INSEEC BTS is a strategic choice for students who are sure of their career direction and who want to enter the world of work quickly thanks to work-linked training.
INSEEC Bachelor: multidisciplinary training with progressive specialisation in 3 years
The INSEEC Bachelor’s degree is a 3-year course, accessible outside Parcoursup, which enables students to develop their professional skills while retaining a degree of flexibility in their orientation.
- A course suited to those who are undecided: Unlike the BTS, the INSEEC Bachelor’s degree offers a gradual discovery of specialities. If they wish, students can change specialisation each year, enabling them to explore several areas of activity before going into greater depth in the3rd year.
- Gradual professionalisation:
- In the 1st and2nd years, the courses are in initial training with 2 to 3 month work placements to discover the professional world.
- Work-linked training is only available in3rd year, to facilitate integration into the world of work.
- The option of a semester abroad(London or Barcelona) to gain international experience.
- A Bac +3 diploma: At the end of the Bachelor’s programme, students obtain a state-recognised diploma (Titre RNCP level 6) that enables them either to continue on to a Master’s degree, or to enter the job market with initial professional experience.
Good to know: The INSEEC Bachelor’s degree is an excellent option for students who are still hesitating about their direction, who want to discover several fields before specialising, study abroad and gradually develop their skills.
