Status and framework of the internship

  • You retain your student status and must pay your tuition fees. The work placement is part of your initial training.
  • Once the agreement has been signed, you will be added to the company’s personnel register, but you will not have employee status.

Work placement fees

  • In France, it is compulsory to provide a bonus for more than 308 hours’ attendance, i.e. 44 days. Below this threshold, it remains optional.
  • The legal minimum is set at €4.50 per hour, paid monthly and calculated on the basis of hours actually worked.
  • Only bonuses above the legal minimum are subject to social security contributions.
  • Outside France, the regulations of the host country apply.

Duration

  • The minimum duration depends on the educational requirements of the programme.
  • The maximum authorised period is 132 days on the job, i.e. just over 6 months full-time.

After graduating with an MSc in Marketing, Communication & Brand Strategy from INSEEC Bordeaux, I created CLOE, a platform that facilitates access to student housing. Thanks to the La FabriK For Good incubator, I benefited from tailored support and a network of experts to develop a project with social impact, serving student life and inclusion.

The social media part is directly related to what I am learning at INSEEC. The work-study program is really helping me develop my skills, and in a saturated marketing and communications market, that’s a real plus: companies know that we have already been immersed in the professional world and that we know how it works.

My career path was initially far removed from the healthcare sector: I studied political science and wanted to be a lawyer. With INSEEC, I was able to change direction and establish myself in the management of a healthcare facility, in line with the values that motivate me on a daily basis.

When I saw INSEEC’s partnership with OM, I was very pleasantly surprised. These are two entities that I love, and it’s very nice to see two things that I love forming a partnership.
