The Chambéry Savoie campus of INSEEC has an exceptional location in the ecosystem of the Savoie region and the OMNES Education group. As a result of the acquisition in 2012 of the ESC school which took the name of the INSEEC brand, the campus has significant assets to convince students :
- the only campus of the OMNES Education group to enjoy a sumptuous setting close to nature, at the foot of Lake Bourget and the Alps, on the Savoie Technolac plateau, a center of excellence in energy and support for business creation in the region
- it is adapted to the reception of high-level athletes thanks to the establishment of CESNI via the Outdoor Sport specialization and the proposed infrastructures, as well as the expertise of the teams

We could talk to you for hours about the incredible setting of the Chambéry Savoie campus… In terms of infrastructure, the campus also competes with the larger ones. The Chambéry campus is a place open to the outside, where one breathes.

How to come to Chambéry and find the campus ?
Getting around in Chambéry
The city of Chambéry is served by a bus network : for some years now, the city has been engaged in a “Ville apaisée” (“peaceful city”) approach to promote soft mobility in the urban area, and particularly the use of bicycles.
The transport network covering the agglomeration of Grand Chambéry is Synchro Bus. A young package, simply titled “12 – 25 years”, is available with the Oura card on annual subscription. Several rates are offered for students aged 12 to 25, with discounts that can be applied based on the family quotient. For students over 25 years old, it will be necessary to take the package “26 – 64 years”. You can find more information on the Synchro Bus website.
A proactive cycling policy has also been implemented for many years in Chambéry. Major work to create cycle paths has been implemented within the city; with numerous bike stations and bicycle lockers spread across the territory.
The campus is located in the commune of Le-Bourget-du-Lac, belonging to the Grand Chambéry.

Coming to Chambéry by train
Chambéry is located 3 hours by TGV from Paris on a direct route and only one hour by TER from Lyon. The city of Chambéry has a train station, the station of Chambéry – Challes-les-Eaux. The two other major cities of Savoie, Aix-les-Bains and Albertville, also have a train station and bus.
Coming to Chambéry by plane
Chambéry Savoie Mont-Blanc airport is an international hub offering almost exclusively European flights. The airport offers flights mainly to Great Britain. Several charter companies specialized in ski holidays also serve the airport. No French city serves the airport otherwise; there are no commercial domestic flights.
Located in the town of Le Bourget-du-Lac, it is also one of the leading French and European airports for business aviation.
Lyon Saint-Exupéry airport is one of the closest to Chambéry on French territory; as well as that of Geneva in Switzerland.
- By bus: from the station of Chambéry-Challes-les-Eaux, take the bus A direction “Plage” and get off at the stop “Mairie du Bourget”. The airport is a 10-minute walk away.
In France, the national policy is to favor train trips at the expense of the plane if these can be done in less than 4 hours between the departure and arrival points.

The campus has two parking lots nearby (2 minutes walk) :
- north parking in B5
- parking ex EDF in B2/B3
Attention : parking on the sidewalks in front of the campus is prohibited and is liable to a fine of €130.

Chambéry enjoys a geographical location that makes more than one dream. Nearby, the Lake of Bourget offers water activities such as canoeing, swimming or barbecues on the beach, while the surrounding mountains allow skiing in winter and hiking in summer.

- Paddle, sailing, rowing, wakeboarding, etc., to do on the Lac du Bourget near the campus
- Pédalo Aix Nautic
Quite a few hikes :
- Mount Revard, from the top of its 1500m altitude has a rich history. Once accessible by rack railway, then by cable car until 1969, it is now accessed by road.
- The belvedere of Grumeau in Ontex, perched at 1158m overlooks Lake Bourget. From this site overlooking Hautecombe, the view embraces the lake, the Bauges massif and the Chambotte.
- The belvedere of La Chambotte, above Chindreux, offers a viewpoint over the villages of Chautagne, the abbey of Hautecombe, the Savière Canal, Aix-les-Bains and the Chambéry cluse.
- The Cat’s Tooth, is reached on foot from the Cat’s Pass. This pleasant walk takes place mostly in the forest. However, be careful with the ascent and the last part of the route, vertiginous.
- The belvedere of the Grande Mollière in Tresserve is one of the most accessible viewpoints. Located on the first heights of the lake, it is equipped with transparent panels that help the visitor to identify the surrounding peaks.

The CESNI by INSEEC : the reference school for high-level athletes in the Aix-Savoie region
The Centre d’études des sportifs de niveau international (CESNI), located in Le Bourget-du-Lac, is a consular institution founded in 1992. Specialized in training related to business, management and sport, it offers a unique learning framework for high-level athletes wishing to pursue a career in the world of business and management.
The CESNI is partnering with INSEEC to offer a range of training courses from post-baccalaureate to higher education. The CESNI is located on the INSEEC campus in Chambéry, offering this exceptional setting that appeals to top athletes.
The training courses are built in such a way as to give students a winter break during the course. This winter break is indeed essential for high-level athletes. This allows them to combine an arrangement of the academic calendar with their professional obligations related to their activity.
