What is an MSc in Healthcare Management?
The MSc “Director of Healthcare Management” provides training for management positions in the medico-social and healthcare sectors. It is RNCP level 7 certified by the Ministry of Employment. The first year lays the foundations in management, human resources and healthcare law. The second year develops expertise in strategic management, financial management and quality of care. This professional programme prepares students to manage public or private healthcare organisations.

Objectives and skills
The aim of the MSc in Healthcare Managementis to train professionals capable of steering and managing healthcare and medico-social establishments. You will learn to develop an overall strategy, manage multidisciplinary teams and guarantee the quality of care.

The courses
The courses presented below are given as examples and may vary slightly depending on the teaching campus. Course content is adapted each year to take account of developments in the medico-social sector, regulatory reforms and public health issues.
The pace of courses may differ from campus to campus and depending on whether the course is being run under a work placement agreement (initial) or a professionalization/apprenticeship contract (continuing).
The work-study contract must be signed for the entire duration of the MSc 1 + MSc 2 or MSc 2 program.

Assessment procedures
The two years of the programme combine expertise in healthcare management with work placements in healthcare facilities, available for both initial and sandwich courses.
Course validation
- Each level requires 60 ECTS credits to be certified.
- The MSc degree is awarded on successful completion of the two years, totalling 120 ECTS credits.
- To be awarded the qualification, all blocks of skills must be fully consolidated.
- Each block requires complete success with a minimum threshold of 10/20 for all the skills assessed.
- Partial validation of a block is not possible.
Conditions for obtaining certification
- Mastery of all equivalent blocks of cross-disciplinary skills is required for all courses.
- A minimum of 132 days in a healthcare establishment during the second year (MSc 2) for participants on initial training.
Assessment procedures
Your learning path is rigorously monitored throughout the entire programme via :
- Regular face-to-face checks and summative assessments.
- Examinations of individual and/or group health situations.
- Individual and/or team oral presentations.
- Individual and/or group written reports.
- Field and practical studies in healthcare establishments.
- An applied research dissertation.
