Could you introduce yourself?

My name is Floriane DELHAYE and I am currently a M1 student on the Grande Ecole Programme in Bordeaux. I joined Inseec in 2021 following the competitive entrance exam for the grandes écoles.

Before coming to Inseec, I spent two years in a commercial preparatory class with a technological option at the Lycée Louis Thuillier in Amiens.

Could you tell us about your semester in London?

I’m currently on an academic stay abroad at Inseec’s London campus.

Currently on the London campus, the courses are very interesting and we have presentations to do. London is a diverse city and there are always lots of things to discover. Since I’ve been in London, I feel I’ve improved my English and I’ve been able to meet people from different backgrounds. I think it’s a good way to improve your English by talking to people from different backgrounds rather than staying with French people.

This experience abroad is an incredible opportunity to meet great people and to learn how to cope abroad.

The end of my stay is approaching and I realise that I have nothing but good memories here. It was a superb experience and I would recommend it to anyone thinking of leaving.

Why did you choose INSEEC Grande École?

When I sat the written exams, I didn’t yet know which school I wanted to go to. It wasn’t until I started preparing for my tour of France that I became interested in Inseec Grande Ecole. During my orals, I realised that it was a school that suited me because of its family atmosphere and its lifestyle, which is why I decided to go there. As for the choice of campus, I chose Bordeaux because I wanted to discover a new city and I have absolutely no regrets about my choice!

Could you tell us about your career at INSEEC Grande École?

When I joined Inseec in L3, I was able to spend a semester abroad in London. At the end of my L3 year, I did 2 work placements, the first of which was as an Inseec eligible and the second as an assistant manager in a hotel restaurant. These were two very rewarding experiences. Then, in M1, I joined the initial Management course.

Your future projects?

After that, I’ve got my work placement to do, which I’m aiming to do in Spain. After that, I’d like to specialise in Marketing with a major in Business and Purchasing Management.

Any last words?

If you want to go abroad, I’d encourage you to do so, because it’s a really incredible experience that allows you to meet new people. You have to get out of your comfort zone.
