Housing assistance for students

Students can benefit from a number of forms of financial assistance to reduce the cost of their accommodation. To find out about the conditions and how to apply, visit the CAF website or contact your school’s social services department.

APL (Aide Personnalisée au Logement): paid by the CAF, calculated according to income and type of accommodation.
ALS (Allocation de Logement Social): for students who are not eligible for APL.
Mobili-Jeune: aid reserved for sandwich course students, which can reduce the rent by up to €100 a month.
Fonds de Solidarité pour le Logement (FSL): emergency support for students in financial difficulty.
Visale guarantee: free deposit to secure tenancies without a physical guarantor.
