Currently in the final year of her MSc2 Purchasing and Supply Chain program at INSEEC U. Chambéry campus, Adelaïde Grossi is also a junior buyer for the Emerson group, located in Bonneville, Haute-Savoie.
The student-employee tells us about her career path, looks in the rear-view mirror before talking about her near future.
First a scientific background… before turning to International Trade.
” After my scientific baccalaureate, I did a BTS in international trade. It included two internships abroad to validate it. I then decided to continue my studies in Grenoble, France, where I majored in international development. Before joining, finally, a Master in International Purchasing & Supply Chain in alternation with INSEEC Chambéry. ”
A totally logical continuation of Adelaide’s career path. She had already had a little idea in the back of her head for several months.
” I chose this master’s degree because since my BTS I really wanted to become a buyer. My various internships had totally reinforced this idea, continues the student.
She particularly appreciates the human sideof the Chambéry campus ” the follow-up of the students which allows us to be surrounded but especially listened to… “
As a Junior Buyer in a work-study program
In parallel to her studies, Adelaïde holds the position of junior buyer at the Emerson group in Bonneville in Haute-Savoie.
The Emerson Group is a global technology and engineering company, listed on the New York Stock Exchange and other exchanges.
” I am a junior buyer. I manage numerous supplier portfolios. This can range from production to non-production purchasing, as well as project purchasing. ”
A professional path that she can enhance, in particular through the work-study program offered by the INSEEC U. campus in Chambéry.
” INSEEC brought me this very professional side thanks to the alternation, which is not possible with all schools. ”
And afterwards, what are the projects ?
” I am indeed open to anything. I am now starting to look for a job as a buyer for September, when my studies and my professionalization contract will be over, concludes the student.
Adelaide is already ready to officially enter the job market.
