What is a Master’s degree in Geopolitics, Economics & Strategic Consulting?
The Geopolitics, Economics & Strategic Consulting Grande Ecole Programme is the result of collaboration between INSEEC and HEIP, a school specialising in political science and international relations. It prepares you for careers in international strategic consulting by combining managerial expertise with in-depth geopolitical analysis. This course confers a Master’s degree (equivalent to Bac+5) recognised by the Ministry of Higher Education and Research and is RNCP level 7 certified. The course is taught in French and English and is AMBA accredited. It offers fast-track entry into consulting firms, think tanks and the strategic departments of international companies.
Diploma and professional certification
This state-approved degree confers a Master’s grade and has been AMBA accredited since 2016, guaranteeing its recognition in France and internationally.
Professional certification as an Innovative Projects Manager level 7 (EU), NSF code 310, awarded by INSEEC Grande École, registered under number 41044 on the RNCP (Répertoire National des Certifications Professionnelles) by decision of the Director General of France Compétences.
With this programme in partnership with HEIP, you will also receive a school certificate.
Objectives and skills
The aim of the Geopolitics, Economics & Strategic Consulting Master’s degree is to train experts capable of analysing geopolitical and economic issues to inform international business strategies.

The content
The courses below are taught on the Paris, Lyon and Bordeaux campuses, in French and English. This partnership with the HEIP school of political science and international relations is part of INSEEC Grande École’s multidisciplinary approach, offering students a personalised teaching approach.
2ᵉ year (M1 level) – Core curriculum
60 ECTS credits – Initial or sandwich course
This second year consolidates your managerial skills and introduces the fundamentals of geopolitical and economic analysis. You can choose between two options: a sandwich course or the traditional route. The latter combines pre-specialisation in the first semester with international mobility in the second semester, followed by a long-term internship of at least 3 months in a company.

The assessment uses a variety of approaches to validate your geopolitical and strategic analysis skills:
- Continuous assessment and periodic evaluations.

Certification is obtained by capitalising on all the skill blocks and validating the 180 ECTS credits over the 2 years of the programme.
