What is a Master’s degree in HR Management and Sustainable Organisations?
INSEEC’s Grande École programme, specialising in HR Management and Sustainable Organisations, trains you for careers in human resources management and sustainable organisational development. This programme confers a Master’s degree (equivalent to Bac+5) recognised by the Ministry of Higher Education and Research and is RNCP level 7 certified. This course will enable you to master the strategic challenges of talent management and organisational transformation, ensuring high employability in all business sectors.
Diploma and professional certification
This state-approved degree confers a Master’s grade and has been AMBA accredited since 2016, guaranteeing its recognition in France and internationally.
Professional certification as an Innovative Projects Manager level 7 (EU), NSF code 310, awarded by INSEEC Grande École, registered under number 41044 on the RNCP (Répertoire National des Certifications Professionnelles) by decision of the Director General of France Compétences.
Objectives and skills
The aim of this Master’s degree is to train HR professionals capable of steering corporate social strategy, supporting organisational change and integrating sustainability issues into human resources policies.

The content
The following courses are offered on the Paris, Lyon and Bordeaux campuses. Each year, this French-language programme takes into account changes in legislation, new HR practices and corporate social responsibility issues.
1ʳᵉ year (Level L3)
60 ECTS credits – 488 hours
This initial sandwich year lays the foundations for management and develops your understanding of human issues in organisations. Students benefit from a week’s immersion in London.

2ᵉ year (M1 level)

This 2ᵉ year of work-linked PGE deepens your management skills and gradually prepares you for the HR function.

The assessment uses a variety of methods to validate your theoretical and practical HR skills:

What are the admission requirements for the Master’s degree in HR Management and Sustainable Organisations?
Admission to 1st year (Level L3)
- Accessible to students holding or in the process of obtaining a BUT, BTS, Licence 2, RNCP level 5 certified qualification (Bac +2), or enrolled in 2ᵉ year of IEP.
- Admission via the Evolution 1 competitive entrance examination (application + oral tests).
- Training given in French.

The Grande Ecole HR Management and Sustainable Organisations programme (leading to a Master’s degree) is taught in French. The assessment of knowledge is also carried out in French, adapted to the French legal and social context. However, some modules, such as ‘International Human Resource Management’, include English HR vocabulary to prepare students for international contexts.
What is the admission process for the Master’s degree in HR Management and Sustainable Organisations?
There are three competitive entrance exams:
- BCE competition for entry into 1ʳᵉ year (L3) after a preparatory year (classe préparatoire)
- Evolution 1 competitive entrance examination for entry to the 1ʳᵉ year (L3) after a Bac +2 (2-year higher education qualification)
- Evolution 2 competitive entrance examination for entry to the 2nd year (M1) after a Bac +3/4 (higher education qualification)

How does this programme differ from a Masters in HRM at an IAE or university?
The INSEEC Master’s Degree differs from a Master’s in HRM at an IAE or university in that it is immediately professionally oriented, has a network of 10,000 partner companies and offers work-study opportunities from the first year.
