What is a Master’s degree in International Business Management?
INSEEC’s Grande École programme offers the International Business Management specialisation. It prepares you for careers in international trade, global marketing, finance and intercultural management. This course confers a Master’s degree (equivalent to Bac+5) recognised by the Ministry of Higher Education and Research and is RNCP level 7 certified. The course is taught entirely in English and is AMBA accredited. This opens up a wide range of international career opportunities in multicultural environments.
Diploma and professional certification
This state-approved degree confers a Master’s grade and has been AMBA accredited since 2016, guaranteeing its recognition in France and internationally.
Professional certification as an Innovative Projects Manager level 7 (EU), NSF code 310, awarded by INSEEC Grande École, registered under number 41044 on the RNCP (Répertoire National des Certifications Professionnelles) by decision of the Director General of France Compétences.
Objectives and skills
The aim of the International Business Management Master’s degree is to train managers capable of steering commercial and financial strategies in a globalised economic environment.

The content
The courses below are given as examples and may vary depending on the campus. The programme, taught entirely in English, is updated annually to reflect developments in international trade and global geopolitical issues.
1ʳᵉ year (Level L3)
60 ECTS credits – 568 hours (initial) – 488 hours (sandwich course)
This first year lays the foundations of international management and develops your ability to understand global issues from a global perspective. Students on sandwich courses benefit from a week’s immersion in London, while students on the traditional route spend 2 months on the London campus before completing their work placement.

2ᵉ year (M1 level)
60 ECTS credits – 428 hours (initial) – 436 hours (sandwich course)
This second year deepens your managerial skills and enables you to tailor your career path to suit your career plans. This year is available as a sandwich course. In the traditional route, you follow a pre-specialisation of your choice (Finance, Management or Marketing) from September to December, then benefit from optional international mobility from January to May before completing your minimum 2-month work placement in a company.

3ᵉ year (Level M2) – Core curriculum
60 ECTS credits – 238 hours (initial) – 406 hours (sandwich course)
The core curriculum develops your cross-disciplinary skills in innovation, research methodology and managing complex situations. This year of certification can be taken as a sandwich course or as part of the standard curriculum. The latter allows you to finalise your expertise with the PGE specialisation or an international Double Diploma (September-December). In the initial phase, this period is followed by a minimum 6-month end-of-studies work placement and final validation through the Grand Oral and the applied research dissertation.

3ᵉ year (M2 level) – Speciality courses

What are the admission requirements for the Master’s degree in International Business Management?
Admission to 1st year (Level L3)
- Accessible to students holding or in the process of obtaining a BUT, BTS, Licence 2, RNCP level 5 certified qualification (Bac +2), or enrolled in 2ᵉ year of IEP.
- Admission via the Evolution 1 competitive entrance examination (application + oral tests).
- A good level of English is required to follow the courses entirely in English.
Admission to 2nd year (M1 level)
- Open to students who have completed or are in the process of completing a Licence 3, Bachelor’s degree, Master 1, engineering degree or level 6/7 RNCP-certified qualification attesting to at least 3 years of higher education.
- Admission via the Evolution 2 competitive entrance examination (application + oral tests).
- Advanced level of English required.

Which languages are used for courses and exams?
All courses on the International Business Management programme are taught entirely in English. A second foreign language is compulsory (or French as a foreign language for international students).

Yes, work-study is possible over the 3 years of the course. On the initial course, compulsory work placements are required each year. In 2ᵉ year, an academic semester abroad is compulsory in one of the 160 partner universities to develop your skills in international markets.
What is the admission process for the Master’s degree in International Business Management?
There are three competitive entrance exams, depending on your level of study:
- BCE competition for entry into 1ʳᵉ year (L3) after a preparatory year (classe préparatoire)
- Evolution 1 competitive entrance examination for entry to the 1ʳᵉ year (L3) after a Bac +2 (2-year higher education qualification)
- Evolution 2 competitive entrance examination for entry to the 2nd year (M1) after a Bac +3/4 (higher education qualification)
The process includes an application and oral tests. A good level of English is required to follow this course, which is taught entirely in English.
