Contents
As a reminder, registration for the competitive entrance exam is via the PARCOURSUP platform.
Would you like to join the INSEEC BBA and follow a course focused on international business and academic excellence? The PASS competitive entrance exam is a 30-minute oral interview to assess your motivation, seriousness and adaptability to join our 4-year BBA programme.
It is an excellent way for our jury to get to know you better and to determine whether you are a future INSEEC BBA student (as a reminder, your admission will be an average of the marks in your file and your mark in your competitive entrance exam).
Competition
A competition based on motivation and adaptability
The PASS competition is designed to see if you have what it takes to succeed at the INSEEC BBA, a 4-year course that alternates group projects, individual work, international experience and, for the most ambitious, a double or even triple degree.
How do I register for the PASS competition?
Are you in Terminale at a French lycée? Apply from January on Parcoursup! Parcoursup is the national post-secondary pre-registration platform for higher education in France. You can use this platform to register for the CONCOURS PASS.
Objective: to assess your ability to commit yourself fully
The INSEEC BBA is a dense programme aimed at students who are motivated, curious and capable of making a long-term commitment. The PASS competition enables the school to :
- Measure your personal motivation
- Test your adaptability
- Assess whether you are ready to invest in a 4-year course leading to an international manager diploma.
Oral
An oral test in two parts: express yourself, fascinate us
Inspired by the Anglo-Saxon model, the PASS oral lasts 30 minutes and is divided into two 15-minute parts, with a clear objective: to bring out your creativity and uniqueness.
Part 1: “Express yourself
During this first phase of the interview (15 minutes), the panel will ask you to :
- Present yourself authentically, showing your full potential
- Explain your reasons for joining the BBA
- Answering questions to better understand your personality and your project
Tip: be sincere and structured. The jury is interested in your background, but above all in what drives you. This is the time to show your uniqueness, who you REALLY are. So don’t be afraid to think out of the box, and avoid ready-made answers.
Part 2: “Passionate about us
In this second part (also 15 minutes), you must talk freely about one of your personal passions:
- Sport, music, art, civic engagement, topical issues… the choice is up to you.
- The important thing is to show how this passion has become part of your life and what it says about you.
🎯 Objective: to allow the jury to discover you from another angle and to assess your ability to share your enthusiasm.
Recruitment for the Pass Contest programmes is open to a wide range of candidate profiles (Year 12 students of all specialities, international students, holders of the baccalaureate who are changing direction, etc.). As you will have realised, the Pass Competition programmes focus on personality, values and openness to the world.
Advice
Tips for succeeding in the PASS interview
Adopt a professional stance
- Unsurprisingly, the first piece of advice is: dress neatly, as you would for a work experience interview or your first job. Remember, your clothes are also part of your personality!
- Speak clearly, calmly and with a smile
- Show that you are comfortable speaking, without being arrogant or too hesitant.
Prepare yourself seriously
- Practise speaking with your friends and family
- Prepare a structured plan for your two speeches, to avoid babbling and having too many “blanks”.
- Practise speaking for 2×15 minutes without reading your notes
A good candidate is one who is prepared, motivated and able to express who they are with clarity and conviction. Candidates are judged sympathetically by a panel of teachers, professionals and school staff.
