What is a Bachelor of Sport Business?
INSEEC’s Bachelor of Sport Business, which is RNCP level 6 certified, provides training in management, marketing and communication in the sports sector. The first two years lay the foundations in business and management, while the third year enables students to specialise in sports economics, event management and sponsorship. This professionally-oriented course combines practical teaching, on-the-job projects and work-study to ensure rapid integration into the world of sport business.
Professional certification
Level 6 (EU) professional certification for Commercial Activity Managers, NSF code 312, awarded by INSEEC Bachelor, registered under number RNCP38604 on the Répertoire National des Certifications Professionnelles (RNCP) by decision of the Director General of France Compétences.
Objectives and skills
The aim of the Bachelor Sport Business is to train professionals capable of managing projects, partnerships and marketing strategies in the world of sport.

1ʳᵉ year
60 ECTS credits
In the first year, INSEEC’s Bachelor of Sport Business offers a generalist course which enables students to acquire the fundamentals of business, management and marketing. Students also learn about the specificities of the sports sector and develop their first professional skills through group projects and role-playing. In addition to the core courses, students will have 20% of specialisation courses.

2ᵉ year

In the second year, INSEEC’s Bachelor of Sport Business deepens students’ knowledge of management, marketing and administration, while reinforcing their understanding of the economic challenges of sport. Students learn how to analyse a market, manage sales initiatives and communicate effectively in a competitive environment. In addition to the core courses, students will have 30% of specialisation courses.

3ᵉ year – Core curriculum

3ᵉ year – Specialisation course
The third year of specialisation in the Bachelor Sport Business programme plunges students into the heart of the economic, media and technological challenges of sport. It enables them to acquire practical expertise in event management, communication and sports sponsorship, while mastering the legal and strategic aspects of the sector.

Assessment procedures
The three years of the Bachelor Sport Business alternate learning the fundamentals, case studies, practical projects and periods of immersion in companies. Each semester corresponds to 30 ECTS credits, validated by continuous assessment and final evaluations. The diploma is based on the validation of 180 ECTS credits at the end of the course.
Assessments take the form of individual or group work, case studies, oral presentations, tutored projects and work situations. These methods are used to assess students’ ability to apply their skills in real-life conditions, in line with the needs of companies in the sports sector.
In the third year, professional certification is based on an assessment of blocks of skills, in accordance with RNCP reference no. 38604. It includes in particular :
- managing a commercial or events project in the field of sport;
- implementing a marketing or communications strategy;
- budget management and performance management ;
- defending a dissertation on professional practice.
These assessments, based on continuous assessment, mid-term exams or oral exams, guarantee a gradual, professionalising build-up of skills, in line with the demands of the sports business market.
