What is an MSc Business Development & Engineering?
The MSc Business Development & Business Engineering prepares students for careers in business development, key account strategy and growth management. It is RNCP level 7 certified by the Ministry of Employment. The first year lays the foundations of sales strategy and management, while the second year develops expertise in complex negotiation and business engineering. This operational programme prepares students for positions of responsibility, thanks to its action-oriented teaching methods and real-life in-company projects.
Professional certification
Level 7 (EU) Business Development Manager professional qualification, NSF code 312, awarded by INSEEC MSc, registered under number 39884 on the RNCP (Répertoire National des Certifications Professionnelles) by decision of the Director General of France Compétences.
Objectives and skills
The aim of the MSc Business Development & Business Engineering is to train professionals capable of driving commercial growth, structuring complex offerings and managing teams with high strategic stakes.
The programme develops the following skills:

- Steering and securing the sales strategy and its operational deployment.

The courses
The courses below are indicative and may vary depending on the campus. The programme is updated each year to incorporate the latest practices in business development and management techniques.
The pace of courses may differ from campus to campus and depending on whether the course is being run under a work placement agreement (initial) or a professionalization/apprenticeship contract (continuing).
The work-study contract must be signed for a period of 12 months (MSc 2) or 24 months (MSc1 + MSc 2).

Assessment procedures
The two years of the programme combine fundamental teaching and immersive professional practice, offered in both initial and sandwich courses.
Course validation
- Each year requires 60 ECTS credits.
- To obtain the MSc, students must successfully complete both years, i.e. a total of 120 ECTS credits.
- Certification is obtained by capitalising on all the skill blocks.
- Each block requires full validation with a minimum average of 10/20 for all skills.
- Partial validation of a block is not permitted.
Conditions for obtaining certification
- Compulsory mastery of four cross-disciplinary skill blocks common to all courses.
- A minimum 132-day work placement in the second year (MSc 2) for students on initial training.
Assessment procedures
The acquisition of your skills is assessed on an ongoing basis throughout the programme via :
- Periodic assessments and end-of-semester face-to-face exams.
- Individual and/or group case studies.
- Solo and/or group oral presentations.
- Individual and/or team written dossiers.
- Professional projects and assignments in a real business environment.
- An applied research dissertation dealing with a business development or business engineering issue, defended in front of a mixed professional and academic jury (in the second year).
