RNCP – Business Development Manager

Level 7 (EU) ” Business Development Manager ” professional qualification, NSF code 312, awarded by INSEEC MSc (CEE-SO, CEE-RA, CEE-OUEST, CEE-M, CEFAS, MBA INSTITUTE, ADEFI FORMATION), registered under number 39884 in the RNCP (Répertoire National des Certifications Professionnelles) by decision of the Director General of France Compétences on 28 November 2024.

Certification is awarded by capitalising on all the blocks of skills. Each skill in a block must be confirmed in order to obtain the block of skills. Partial validation of a block is not possible.

What activities are covered during the course?

The business development manager plays a central role within the company, ensuring the long-term viability of the business and guaranteeing its growth. He or she manages the sales strategy independently and works cross-functionally with the company’s various departments: marketing, human resources, production, design and purchasing.

They liaise with external service providers and partners to meet the company’s development challenges (sales, customers, markets) and customer requirements.

In order to carry out their tasks successfully, they monitor the competition and analyse the company’s environment to anticipate technological, contextual or structural changes that could have an impact on their strategy and the company’s long-term future. The business development manager has a forward-looking view of the market and is agile and responsive.

Thanks to their experience and expertise, they manage key or strategic accounts and complex sales and ensure customer loyalty.

Internally, they manage a team to whom they pass on the sales strategy, ensuring that it is properly understood and implemented. Through their leadership and agile management, they support their colleagues in achieving their objectives and in their work with customers. He/she helps develop their skills to meet the demands of the changing business. They act as a point of reference for their team in the event of difficulties with a customer or within the team.

They are responsible for managing their own activity, their own performance and that of their team, and for reporting directly to the company’s management.
