How do I become an accountant?

To become an accountant, you need at least a BTS or a BUT, which take 2 years to complete after the baccalauréat. Still in the short cycle, you can opt for a licence at bac + 3 level. If you’re interested in international careers, opt for a BBA, which is usually taught in English. If you want to take on a position of greater responsibility in accountancy, you should aim for a Master’s degree, equivalent to 5 years’ higher education.
