How do I apply for a job on the monmaster.com platform?

How do I apply for a job on the monmaster.com platform?

What’s new in My Master in 2024

On the strength of its first experience, the Mon Master platform is offering a number of significant changes this year, in addition to a new, more user-friendly design:

– the introduction of a complementary admissions phase from 25 June 2024 for applicants who have not definitively accepted a positive offer during the main admissions phase
– for sandwich courses, applicants will be required to submit a contract or promise of employment directly via the platform in order to definitively confirm their place on the course.
– the timetable has also been brought forward by one month compared with 2023, to reduce the stress on students and ensure that answers can be given before the end of July

How do I apply for a course on Mon Master?

To apply for a course on Mon Master, you must first ensure that it is available in the range of courses offered on the platform. Subsequently, only students enrolled in the third year of a bachelor’s degree or who already hold a national bachelor’s degree or a degree deemed to be equivalent are allowed to apply. This applies to both French students and those from European Union member states (including Andorra, Switzerland and Monaco).

In more technical terms, student applicants must first create an account on MonMaster.gouv.fr using the Apply button in order to compile their application file. During the first application phase, students can formulate up to 30 wishes. The platform allows a maximum of 15 applications for initial Masters courses and a maximum of 15 applications for sandwich Masters courses.

During the admissions phase, applicants then have access to the list of acceptances and rejections for the courses they have applied for. During the admissions phase, it is very important for each student to accept at least one offer that has been made to them, or risk having to depend on the complementary admissions phase. A student can only accept one offer at a time.

The French government also specifies that all applicants should bear in mind that the platform is a single portal for submitting applications for all the courses listed on it, but that the establishments remain responsible for the admission or rejection of applicants.

For its Grande École and Masters of Science programmes, INSEEC has a paperless admissions procedure outside Mon Master.

During the application and admission phases of the platform, it is possible to apply for other Master’s level courses on the websites of institutions that do not offer an admission procedure on Mon Master.

My Master 2024 calendar

The entire application procedure for Masters courses on MonMaster.gouv.fr is online. It is important to bear in mind that during the admissions phase, some higher education establishments may offer written and/or oral tests to applicants. There is also a complementary phase for applicants who do not receive a positive response. Students will be able to make up to 10 additional wishes for courses in which there are still vacant places.

  • 29 January 2024: opening of the platform to students, who will be able to consult all the courses on offer at the universities;
  • from 26 February to 24 March: applicants submit their applications according to a timetable common to all universities;
  • 2 April to 28 May: schools examine applications;
  • from 4 June to 24 June: admission phase, with a redistribution of places not taken up by applicants. A candidate cannot accept two offers at the same time;
  • from 25 June to 31 July: complementary admissions phase.

In the case of sandwich courses, the French government specifies that the examination phases for applicants may be staggered between 2 and 24 June 2024.
