If you choose to work as a data analyst, you can be sure of a good and growing income. As a result, it is more attractive than other jobs in the digital and management fields. Data analysts are in great demand in both the private and public sectors.

What’s more, this profession offers a wide range of career prospects in different sectors (financial services, new technologies, health, etc.). It offers a wide range of opportunities and outlets, not only in France, but also internationally.
After a few years’ experience, you can go freelance and become self-employed. This means working for companies that outsource data collection and processing.

A data analyst’s salary depends on his or her years of experience and geographical location. Junior data analysts with less than 2 years’ experience earn an average annual gross fixed salary of between €38,000 and €45,000.

A senior data analyst with 2 to 5 years’ experience can earn up to €55,000 gross per year. But if they have more than 5 years’ experience, they can claim up to €80,000 a year.
Once data analysts have gained significant experience, they can progress to more senior positions, such as consultant (data scientist, data engineer or business intelligence engineer) or manager (data security manager, master data manager or chief data officer).

The job of data analyst is open to people who have studied computer engineering, statistics or marketing. The MSc Data Analytics & Marketing Manager also leads to a career as a data analyst.
