What is a Business Development Bachelor?
INSEEC’s Bachelor Business Development, certified RNCP level 6 by the Ministry of Employment, trains students for careers in commerce, negotiation and sales management. The 1ʳᵉ and 2ᵉ years lay the foundations of marketing, sales and communication, while the 3ᵉ year enables students to specialise in performance management and team management. This professionalising programme prepares students to become key players in the development and growth of companies.
Professional certification
Level 6 (EU) professional certification for Commercial Activity Managers, NSF code 312, awarded by INSEEC Bachelor, registered under RNCP number 38604 on the Répertoire National des Certifications Professionnelles by decision of the Director General of France Compétences.
Objectives and skills
The aim of the Bachelor Business Development is to train professionals capable of designing and implementing an effective sales strategy, managing a sales team and developing a company’s turnover.

1ʳᵉ year
60 ECTS credits
In the first year, INSEEC’s Business Development Bachelor offers a generalist course combining marketing, business, management, communication and digital technology. The aim is to acquire the fundamentals of management and customer relations, while developing skills in negotiation and corporate culture. In addition to the core courses, students will have 20% of specialisation courses.

2ᵉ year
60 ECTS credits
In the second year, INSEEC’s Bachelor Business Development consolidates commercial and managerial skills. Students learn how to build a prospecting strategy, monitor sales performance and understand the challenges of marketing and digitalisation in customer relations. In addition to the core courses, students will have 30% of specialisation courses.

3ᵉ year – Core curriculum

In the third year, INSEEC’s Business Development Bachelor focuses on taking responsibility, performance management and commercial leadership. This final year enables students to acquire the strategic reflexes needed to manage a team and steer the development of a business.

3ᵉ year – Specialisation course

Assessment procedures
The three years of the Bachelor Business Development programme alternate theoretical learning and practical application to real-life cases. Each semester is validated by the award of 30 ECTS credits, giving a total of 180 ECTS credits at the end of the course.
Throughout the course, students are continuously assessed through individual or group work, case studies, work situations and oral presentations. These regular assessments enable students to measure their progress and mastery of the expected skills.
In the third year, an assessment leading to certification based on blocks of skills is organised in accordance with the RNCP 38604 “Responsable d’activités commerciales” qualification.
The tests are based on real-life situations:
- case studies or professional simulations,
- analysis files or company projects,
- presentation to a professional jury,
- professional practice dissertation.
Assessments are based on continuous assessment, supplemented by final examinations depending on the subject. This system guarantees personalised monitoring and a gradual build-up of skills, right through to validation of professional certification.

What are the entry requirements for the Business Development Bachelor?
Admission to 1st year
- Accessible to students who hold or are in the process of obtaining the baccalauréat (all subjects included), a Diplôme d’Accès aux Études Universitaires (DAEU) or an equivalent foreign diploma.
- Application outside Parcoursup, to be submitted directly via the INSEEC online form.
Admission to 2nd year
- Open to students who have validated or are in the process of validating a 1ʳᵉ year of undergraduate study (BTS, BUT, Licence 1, preparatory class or business school).
- Application outside Parcoursup, using the online form.
Admission to 3rd year
- Reserved for students who have validated or are in the process of validating a 2ᵉ year or 3ᵉ year undergraduate degree (BTS, DUT/BUT, Licence 2 or equivalent), i.e. 120 ECTS credits.
