What is a Bachelor Sport Business – Ski Studies?
INSEEC’s Bachelor of Sport Business – Ski Studies, certified RNCP level 6 by the French Ministry of Employment, trains students for careers in commerce, management and marketing in the world of sport and the mountains. The first two years lay the foundations for management, communication and administration, while the third year enables students to specialise in sport business and the development of mountain activities. This unique programme enables students to combine general education with top-level skiing.
Professional certification
Level 6 (EU) professional certification for Commercial Activity Managers, NSF code 312, awarded by INSEEC Bachelor, registered under RNCP number 38604 on the Répertoire National des Certifications Professionnelles, by decision of the Director General of France Compétences.
Objectives and skills
The aim of the Bachelor Sport Business – Ski Studies is to train professionals capable of managing, developing and promoting mountain sports and tourism activities. The programme combines management, business and marketing training with high-level skiing, to prepare students for careers in the sports and leisure sector.
The programme develops key skills in :
- Participate in the development of the commercial development strategy.
- Implement and manage an omnichannel commercial development plan.
- Define and manage the budgetary elements of the commercial action plan.
- Lead and develop the commercial team’s activities.
- Design and implement commercial actions in the sports sector.
This program lays the necessary groundwork if you wish to later earn a Master of Science in Sports to pursue strategic management positions.
The content
The courses presented below are given for information only and may vary slightly depending on the campus. Each year, the programme is updated to take account of new trends in sport business, mountain tourism and sports management, to ensure that the course is always in step with developments in the sector and the expectations of the professional market.
1ʳᵉ year
60 ECTS credits
In the first year, INSEEC’s Bachelor Sport Business – Ski Études offers a generalist course combining management, business, marketing and communication. This first stage enables students to acquire the fundamentals of sports business and company management, while developing a solid economic and interpersonal culture. Students benefit from a flexible timetable to enable them to combine their studies with top-level skiing. In addition to the core courses, students will have 20% of specialisation courses.

In the second year, INSEEC’s Bachelor Sport Business – Ski Études consolidates the knowledge acquired and develops a strategic approach to sales, marketing and sports management. Students learn how to steer a sales action plan, manage projects and communicate effectively in the world of sport and mountains. This year also enables them to develop their digital skills and mastery of communication tools. In addition to the core courses, students will have 30% of specialisation courses.

3ᵉ year

In the third year, INSEEC’s Bachelor of Sport Business – Ski Studies enables students to specialise in sports management and the development of mountain activities. Students deepen their skills in business strategy, communication, events and project management. Depending on the specialisation chosen, it is possible to take a winter break to continue competitive sports.

Assessment procedures
The three years of the Bachelor Sport Business – Ski Studies alternate between theoretical courses, practical projects and work placements in the sports and mountain sector. Each semester is validated by the award of 30 ECTS credits, giving a total of 180 ECTS credits at the end of the course.
Throughout the course, students are assessed by means of continuous tests: individual work, case studies, oral presentations or group projects. These regular assessments are used to measure progress and the ability to apply skills in management, marketing, communication and sports management.
In the third year, an assessment leading to certification in blocks of skills, in line with the RNCP 38604 – Commercial Activities Manager qualification, is introduced. This takes the form of work situations, applied projects, analysis files, oral presentations or a dissertation on professional practice.
Assessments are based on continuous assessment or final exams in the form of mid-term exams. This system guarantees constant monitoring of learning and a gradual rise in skills until the state-recognised diploma is validated.
Certification is awarded after validation of the four common skill blocks and one professionalization block of your choice, with a minimum score of 10/20 in each block.

- Accessible to students who hold or are in the process of obtaining the baccalauréat (all sections), a Diplôme d’Accès aux Études Universitaires (DAEU) or an equivalent foreign diploma.
- This programme is aimed primarily at regional-level skiers, candidates who have passed or are in the process of passing the technical test, and top-level athletes in a mountain discipline.

Admission to 2nd year
- Open to students who have validated or are in the process of validating a 1ʳᵉ year of higher education (BTS, BUT, Licence 1, preparatory class or business school).
- Candidates must be able to prove that they regularly take part in sports and have a confirmed level of skiing or other winter sports.
- Application outside Parcoursup, via the INSEEC online form
Admission to 3rd year
- Reserved for students who have validated or are in the process of validating a 2ᵉ year (BTS, DUT/BUT, Licence 2 or equivalent), i.e. 120 ECTS credits.
- This level of entry is also open to mountain professionals (instructors, guides, pisteurs, etc.) wishing to complement their skills in sports management and mountain tourism.
