What is a Bachelor’s degree in Business Unit Management?
INSEEC’s Bachelor’s degree in Business Unit Management, certified RNCP level 6 by the Ministry of Employment, prepares autonomous and multi-skilled managers who develop and make profitable the activities of this strategic entity operating in the commercial, production or service provision fields. Their main tasks include defining the unit’s strategic objectives, supervising day-to-day activities, managing human and financial resources, supervising and mobilising teams and developing marketing and sales strategies to achieve set objectives.
Professional certification
Level 6 (EU) professional certification for Business Unit Managers, NSF code 310m, awarded by INSEEC Bachelor, registered under number 41101 on the RNCP (Répertoire National des Certifications Professionnelles) by decision of the Director General of France Compétences.
Objectives and skills
The aim of the Bachelor’s degree in Business Unit Management is to deepen students’ knowledge of the major disciplines of management and human resources, and to give them an open-minded approach and a global corporate culture. The aim of the programme is to train professionals to develop managerial skills so that they can quickly take on responsibilities in an operational position. The various management and human resources management methods covered will provide real added value when our students enter the job market.

Assessment procedures
The Bachelor’s programme alternates periods of theoretical learning with real-life application, enabling students to relate their knowledge to real-life situations.
In the third year of the INSEEC Bachelor programme, students will be assessed in a variety of ways:
- Continuous assessment
- Project file, due at the end of the year
- Activity report, due at the end of the year
- National exam in June
- Grand Oral final
Assessment takes place face-to-face, in the form of continuous assessment or final exams in the form of mid-term exams.
Certification can be obtained by accumulating skill blocks, each of which is acquired independently and, in the event of partial validation, leads to a specific certificate.

Is the INSEEC Bachelor’s degree in Business Unit Management recognised by the State?
Yes, the Bachelor’s degree in Business Unit Management leads to the award of RNCP n°41101 “Business Unit Manager” at level 6 (equivalent to Bac+3), a diploma recognised and certified by the Ministry of Employment and registered on the Répertoire National des Certifications Professionnelles by decision of France Compétences.
This professional certification attests to the quality of the training and skills acquired in the field of banking and insurance. The qualification is awarded by INSEEC Bachelor after validation of the skill blocks and a minimum of 110 effective days in a company. This recognition makes it easier for you to find a job and also allows you to continue your studies in Master of Science (MSc) or Master’s Degree (Grande École Programme) if you so wish.

Are there any internship or work-study opportunities during the Bachelor’s degree in Business Unit Management?
Yes, the 3ᵉ year can be done on a sandwich course via an apprenticeship or professionalisation contract, with a 3-day/2-day pattern for six months and then six months full-time in the company.
The school supports you in your search via the Match’Up platform, which lists over 20,000 internship and work-study offers, weekly coaching workshops and monthly job dating events. A minimum of 110 effective days in a company is required in the final year to validate your RNCP qualification.
What studies are possible after obtaining a Bachelor’s degree in Business Unit Management?
There are two options for continuing your studies after this Bachelor’s degree. You can enrol in an INSEEC MSc to specialise.
These Bac +5 programmes enable you to acquire cutting-edge expertise and move up to positions of greater responsibility.
You can also join INSEEC’s Grande École programme (Master’s degree) to aim for management positions in the banking sector. The skills you learn in your Bachelor’s degree will help you gain direct admission to these programmes. Continuing your studies is optional, as most of our graduates opt for immediate professional integration, which is very dynamic in the sector.

The school has a dedicated teaching team on hand throughout the year. The tuition and teaching departments will answer all your questions and communicate regularly by email, SMS or WhatsApp about your timetable, exams and student life.
The Corporate Relations & Alumni Department provides specific support in your search for an internship or work-study contract through weekly coaching workshops (CV, interview, pitch, LinkedIn), monthly job dating with partner companies in the banking sector, and access to the Match’Up platform. Business conferences are held regularly to help you refine your career plans and master the codes of the financial sector.
How do I apply for the Bachelor’s degree in Business Unit Management?
The admission process takes place OFF PARCOURSUP in several transparent stages. First, you submit your application online on the INSEEC website, together with your school reports and CV. Your application will be examined to assess your academic record since the baccalaureate and your motivation for the banking and insurance professions.
If your profile matches, you will sit the admission tests.
- For entry into Year 3, there is no written test, but a motivational interview with a panel of judges. The panel will assess your career plans and your ability to develop in a commercial environment.
Eligibility results are communicated rapidly. Once you have been admitted, the school will help you find a work-linked training placement. Depending on your year of entry, admissions are offered on an initial or sandwich course basis.
