E-commerce is growing due to the increasing use of the Internet and related technologies, and the convenience and flexibility it offers consumers and businesses. Consumers can buy products and services anytime, anywhere, and businesses can extend their reach by offering their products to a global customer base. Consumers can also benefit from better deals and lower prices, as businesses can reduce their labour and raw material costs by using e-commerce.

E-commerce is developing in a number of sectors. In addition to pure player companies, whose main activity revolves around the web, many others have gone digital by developing their own online shop.
To meet demand, they call on a range of e-commerce professionals. The jobs that are recruiting the most fall into several categories:

Like all professions linked to sales and service provision, e-commerce relies on well-honed logistics. It covers all the techniques involved in managing stock and delivering goods to the consumer. Would you like to combine logistics and e-commerce? Apply for one of the following jobs:
- logistics manager: as the name suggests, this person is primarily responsible for the overall management of stocks and merchandise. He or she also implements a strategy for getting products to the consumer;
- customer service manager: this role manages customer files and focuses on customer satisfaction, with the aim of building customer loyalty;
Stock manager or warehouseman: under the supervision of the logistics manager, the stock manager manages the flow of goods. They are the person to contact to ensure that products are available in shop.

What E-commerce professions are linked to webmarketing?
Webmarketing focuses on promoting the e-commerce platform. In other words, professionals in the field develop marketing strategies that meet the expectations of both consumers and search engines.
- the traffic manager, also known as the acquisition manager: is responsible for organising everything aimed at bringing traffic to the site. To do this, they implement strategies based on (paid) referencing techniques, e-mailing and advertising;
- the CRM (Customer Relationship Management) manager: focuses on customer relations. His or her role is to define strategies for interacting with customers and building their loyalty;
- SEO manager: responsible for the natural referencing of the e-commerce platform. Their objective is to position the site favourably on search engines and increase its visibility;
- community manager : responsible for raising the profile of the site on social networks by proposing various types of content.

What E-commerce professions are linked to digital creation?
Digital creation is one of the cornerstones of e-commerce, and many professionals are sought after in this field:
- Network architect: Focuses on designing the entire IT system and ensuring that it works properly.
- Web developer: At the heart of the project, this role is responsible for developing and maintaining the website and any applications linked to the e-commerce platform.
- Webdesigner: While the web developer concentrates on the technical aspect, the webdesigner is responsible for the aesthetic aspect of the site.
- Graphic designer: A visual professional who develops communication tools using images, videos and any other relevant digital content.
- UX designer: They look after the user experience. In other words, they ensure that the consumer navigates the e-commerce platform without difficulty.

- The Bachelor of Business Development – E-commerce and Start-ups, available after A-levels on an initial or sandwich course; this enables students to develop their skills in sales techniques and their capacity for entrepreneurship and innovation. It’s also a comprehensive programme, covering all aspects of business.
- Master of Science in Digital Marketing & E-Business, after 3 or 4 years of higher education or directly after 5 years of higher education. This course focuses onexpertise in both organic and paid levers. The aim of the programme is to train future employees in business techniques while developing a critical eye for future technological developments.
