What is the difference between advertising and digital communication?

Advertising and digital communication are both aimed at promoting a brand or product. They differ in the tools they use. Advertising communication uses collective media to reach a global audience. In other words, it is aimed at a wide audience, with no specific target. To do this, brands use media (television, cinema and radio) and non-media media such as posters.

Digital communication is a form of digital communication, which means that it uses digital tools. Social networks are one of the preferred channels for disseminating a message, whether in text, image or even video form. These can be supplemented by other communication media such as blogs and email. It should be noted that digital communication is aimed at a more restricted audience, i.e. the community that follows the brand.
