The level 6 (EU) ” Business Unit Manager ” professional qualification (NSF code 310m) awarded by TALIS Compétences & Certifications is registered under number 41101 in the RNCP (Répertoire National des Certifications Professionnelles) by decision of France Compétences dated 18/07/2025.
In addition to validation of the final assessments, certification can be acquired by capitalising on blocks of skills. Each block represents a coherent and homogeneous whole that can be acquired independently of the others. A validation certificate specific to each block is issued to the candidate in the event of partial validation of the certification.

What are the requirements
for this qualification?
The conditions for access to the certification scheme (excluding VAE) are :
- Admission to the first year: holders of a baccalauréat (all sections) or a Diplôme d’Accès aux Études Universitaires (DAEU), recognised as level 4.
- Inclusion in the second year: having completed 60 ECTS in a sector considered to be identical in terms of skills to that of the course, or having completed 120 ECTS in a management science environment.
- Inclusion in third year: having completed 120 ECTS or level 5 in a sector considered to be identical in terms of skills to that of the course or having completed 180 ECTS in a management science environment.

The Business Unit Manager is an autonomous, multi-skilled manager who develops and makes profitable the activities of this strategic entity operating in the commercial, production or service provision fields. His or her main tasks include defining the unit’s strategic objectives, supervising day-to-day activities, managing human and financial resources, supervising and mobilising teams, and developing marketing and sales strategies to achieve set objectives.
Business Unit Managers work in a wide variety of companies. They may have to deal with a wide variety of market sizes and geographical areas in all areas of activity: industry, construction, commerce, energy, IT services, banking, real estate, automotive, etc., including the social economy. As a result, there is a wide range of potential employers, from large companies to small and medium-sized enterprises. The professional integration of graduates confirms this.
