What are the different courses in sports management?

In France, a Master’s degree in sports management can be obtained at university, via a Master’s degree in STAPS with a major in sports management, which is accessible after a Bachelor’s degree in STAPS. This course is also available at public schools and/or schools specialising in sports management.

Students with a BAC+3 can apply for this master’s degree. INSEEC offers a number of post-baccalaureate courses that will give you access to this type of training: INSEEC Bachelor, INSEEC BBA and INSEEC Grande École.

After a year in MSc1 Sports Management,INSEEC MSc offers several options that can be taken on a sandwich course. Students will therefore have several options to choose from, with the following specialisations: Marketing and Management of Sport, and Marketing and Management of Outdoor Sport.

  • Manager of sports organisations

Its tasks are very similar to those of a company director.

Event managers organise sports events. Based on a set of specifications drawn up with the client, they have to come up with an original concept that will leave a lasting impression.

As both a manager and an administrator, their objective is to ensure that the project runs smoothly. This means coordinating, planning and communicating within the given budget.

Depending on the event, they may have to work on the project for several weeks or even several years.
