Sports coach

To reach this position, he will need to complete 3 years of a Bachelor’s degree in Staps with a specialisation in sports coaching, followed by two years of a Master’s degree with a specialisation in coaching.

Personal coaches have been on the rise in recent years. They have a wide range of missions to help people achieve personal fulfilment and well-being. Whether they focus on muscle strengthening, psychological support or weight loss, sports coaches are there to draw up a personalised programme.
Their role is to coach and support individuals towards achieving the goals they have set together. They may teach in a centre or at home, in group or individual sessions. Their work is carried out in partnership with the students, whose motivation and commitment are the key to the success of the programme.
You need a Youth, Popular Education and Sport certificate to work in this position, as well as a Staps degree.
Technical sports director

Youth and Sports Inspector
The youth and sports inspector is responsible for the administrative control of public policies implemented by the Ministry of Health, Youth and Sports. They inspect, analyse and control the examination procedures used to award State diplomas in the sector. They are also responsible for providing advice and directing studies and research in the above-mentioned areas. They may also have supervisory duties in public establishments under the aegis of the Ministry of Youth and Sport.
The posts are filled by decree of the same ministry and focus mainly on physical and sports education, community leisure activities and, more generally, community life. In this way, the inspectors assess the teaching procedures of the staff working in the establishments.

Researcher in sports biology
Researchers in sports biology study the human body during exercise in order to decipher and understand how it functions. It’s a truly scientific approach that looks at the impact of sport on the body.

What kind of training can I do after studying STAPS?
In most cases, STAPS students do not limit themselves to a Bachelor’s degree and wish to continue their studies, in particular by doing a Master’s degree in STAPS in order to specialise. It is also possible to take courses other than a university degree in private establishments geared towards the sports professions.
