What are the different scholarships available in finance?
If you are a finance student, you may be eligible for grants and subsidies depending on your situation.
If you are experiencing financial difficulties in starting or continuing your studies, you may also be eligible for special assistance.
You may also be eligible for assistance with mobility, professional integration and access to the civil service.
Students can apply for different types of grants:
- APL (aide personnalisée au logement): the APL (aide personnalisée au logement) is a form of financial assistance designed to reduce your rent.
- ALS (Allocation logement à caractère social – social housing allowance): this is financial assistance designed to reduce your rent.
- higher education grants based on social criteria: the higher education grant based on social criteria (BCS) is awarded to students who have financial difficulties in pursuing higher education.
- emergency aid: if you are going through a difficult period, Crous social services can assess your situation.
- merit-based aid: merit-based aid is a supplement to the grant based on social criteria.
- international mobility aid: financial aid for students wishing to study abroad or undertake an international work placement.

What studies are needed to work in finance?

When it comes to studying finance, there is no standard route after the baccalauréat. However, choosing to study for a long period of time will naturally lead you to positions of responsibility.
High school students who have passed their baccalauréat and wish to study finance have several options open to them:
The BTS CGO – Accounting and Management of Organisations and the DUT Business and Administration Management (GEA) are the two main qualifications for working in finance.
Students can opt for a professional degree in economics and management, a degree in applied mathematics and social sciences (MASS), or a degree in mathematics.

INSEEC BBA: this 4-year internationally-focused programme offers innovative teaching methods and specialisation in the 4th year with the International Finance major.
- A Master’s degree from a business school:
The INSEEC Grande Ecole Master’s programme. This 3-year programme is part of the Conférence des Grandes Ecoles. It enables students to acquire a general foundation of excellence combined with a specialisation in the final year.
A specialised Master of Science from a business school. The aim of the INSEEC MSc programme is to enable students to acquire a specialised business area in 2 years, so that they can work directly in companies.
