As an export manager, you get to travel to different countries. It’s a way of discovering new horizons and cultures. Your working partners will vary from country to country. It can be extremely rewarding.

What’s more, the salary of an export area manager is very attractive. They can earn bonuses on sales. Working conditions are advantageous. On top of that, there are plenty of applications, and it’s easy to make a career here, because the sector is not saturated.

Export managers generally earn a monthly salary of between €3,400 and €4,500 . They earn a minimum of €30,000 a year. Young recruits earn between €30,000 and €40,000 gross per year. In other words, they are paid around €3,000 a month. The most experienced earn an annual salary of between €40,000 and €70,000. They can earn up to €5,950 a month.

Not to mention that bonuses and promotions are often available after a satisfactory sales result.

An export manager has the opportunity to progress to import-export manager or sales director. They may also rise to the position of Sales Director.

To become an export manager, you need to have 4 or 5 years’ higher education in management or business. Specialisation in international trade is a plus.
