Julien Terray is currently studying for an MSc 1 in Purchasing at INSEEC’s campus in Chambéry. He is currently doing a work-study program at ABB in Aix-les-Bains, as a transport buyer. The student-employee talks about his daily work. He details his job with precision.
After obtaining his baccalaureate, Julien Terray decided to put his studies on hold for a few months to go to Ireland for a year. Back in France, he obtained a BTS NRC in a sandwich course. Then a Bachelor’s degree in transport and logistics at the company Böllhoff Otalu.
” Following my various experiences in the world of sales and transport, I have acquired many skills but I lacked those in the field of purchasing, a sector which particularly attracted me. After researching the different programs, I decided that INSEEC’s program was complete and met my expectations as a future professional buyer, presents Julien Terray.
A training that he validates, in parallel, by a work-study within ABB in Aix-les-Bains (formerly Cellier).
” Our company offers expertise in various industrial processes. The industries served are in the field of paper, lubricant, chemical (paint, resin). ABB Aix-les-Bains designs ” turnkey plants ” in the above-mentioned fields. In short, ABB designs the entire plant but supplies only a portion of the equipment it specializes in. “
