The Bachelor in Real Estate & Finance to become an expert

The “Real Estate & Finance” Bachelor’s degree aims to provide training adapted to the expectations of companies in accounting, management control, auditing, finance and asset management. This training allows you to understand all the financial professions, to acquire the basics of accounting and financial analysis but also to understand the evolution of the real estate market and to master the different financial and real estate products.

This program is the result of a partnership between the school and many companies that have a growing need for experts in the field of real estate and finance.

A diploma course in 1, 2 or 3 years to become an expert in real estate and finance

Holders of a BAC can enter the 1st year Bachelor, holders of a BAC+1 the 2nd year Bachelor and those with a BAC+2 the 3rd year Bachelor. The Bachelor welcomes students from various backgrounds: BTS, RNCP level 5 qualifications, DUT, preparatory classes, Licence 2.

The real estate and finance sectors are very closely linked, and there are many cross-cutting skills between these two sectors. In addition to financial, legal, real estate and property law skills, negotiation and communication skills are essential in these areas. The numerous economic actors, their power and variety offer a large number of professional opportunities.

The Real Estate & Finance Bachelor’s degree trains students to understand all the financial professions, to acquire notions of real estate law and urban planning and to know the actors of the world of real estate development and builders.

During the 3rd year program, students will be able to complete their training in a sandwich course. The latter will allow them to develop a first network of professional contacts.

All of our final year courses are specialised and professional in order to allow students to be operational as soon as they arrive in a company.

METHODS AND PROFESSIONAL PRACTICES

Business game

The business game is played using a business simulator. Groups of students are responsible for running a business in real time. All major business functions are covered. Students will make decisions to maximize the profitability of the business.

Financial and banking English

To perfect the techniques of understanding and communicating in English specific to the banking and financial sectors.

Employment contract and negotiation

This module deals with the specificities of the employment contract: in terms of typology, execution, modification and suspension, termination, and even in its collective aspects.

Management information systems

Software (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

Trade conferences and company visits

Presentation of the professions in the sector by professionals and, if necessary, site visits (including incubators).

CROSS-CUTTING AND FUNDAMENTAL COURSES

Financial analysis

This module covers the in-depth examination of a company’s accounts and its prospects. It covers balance sheet analysis, income statement analysis and business valuation.

Company valuation

Following on from the Financial Analysis module, the Company Valuation module focuses on the estimation of the market value of a company based on objective criteria. Business valuation will thus be treated for transactional, tax or business valuation purposes.

In-depth accounting

The objective of this module is to understand the financial objectives and the role of accounting in its legal and economic context. It also consists of mastering the fundamental principles of accounting modeling. Finally, it is a question of discovering and understanding the accounting impact of the main operations related to the activity of a company through its financial statements.

Organisation of the financial markets

It is about knowing the different financial markets and their roles. Assets such as stocks, bonds, currencies and commodities will be covered.

Treasury management

The cash management seen in this module allows to know and evaluate the liquidity of a company and the conditions of profitability and risk. This module presents the management forecasting tools to evaluate the immediate and future financing needs of the company.

PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT COURSE

Choice of property investments and financing

From an investment perspective, this module presents the different strategies and allows you to make strategic choices under optimal conditions.

Financial and stock market products

This module deals with the organization of the stock and financial markets and their roles and importance.

In-depth accounting applied to real estate

In addition to the introductory accounting module, the specific elements of accounting applied to real estate will be covered.

Financial, real estate and stock market products

This module deals with the organization of the real estate and financial markets, this course focuses on the knowledge and the role of the various financial and stock exchange products.

Real estate law and legal arrangements

This module covers the specific rules relating to real estate, including buildings and co-ownership, real estate rental, real estate transactions, property regimes and urban planning rules.

Sales simulation and negotiation techniques

This module provides the tools and techniques necessary to successfully negotiate and sell real estate.

Financial and computer mathematics

This module implements, through exercises and case studies, the knowledge and tools required for mathematics and forecasting applied to real estate finance. Excel and VBA will be studied in depth.

Business plan and real estate investments

This module focuses on mastering the challenges of managing real estate investments. Choosing real estate investments requires knowing how to draw up a business plan in order to be able to evaluate the risks and opportunities associated with this type of investment.

Banking and financial tax exemption

As a person in charge of real estate transactions or as a property trader, the expert must be aware of the various laws that may affect financial decisions regarding investments in real estate.


1 or 2 entries per year and an alternating study rhythm

Each year, the start of the 3rd year Bachelors’ programme takes place in September. Most campuses also offer a staggered start in February.

The course rhythm is 3 days/2 days for 6 months and then 6 months full time in a company.

This rhythm is the same whether the learner is in initial training (internship) or in continuing education (professionalization/apprenticeship).

What are the prerequisites to enter the Bachelor program?

  • To enter the first year, you must hold a baccalaureate (all sections) or a Diplôme d’Accès aux Études Universitaires (DAEU), recognized as level 4;
  • For integration into the second year: it is necessary to have validated 60 ECTS in a sector considered to be identical in terms of skills to that of the course or to have validated 120 ECTS at level 5 or equivalent in the field concerned;
  • For integration into the third year: it is necessary to have validated a 120 ECTS or a level 5 in a sector considered to be identical in terms of competencies to that of the course or to have validated 180 ECTS of level 5 or equivalent in the field concerned.

  • Analyze the performance and profitability of a company’s activity;
  • Manage the accounting and/or financial team.

This program delivers the RNCP certification Manager in Financial Management and Management Control“.

Level 6 professional certification, registered with the RNCP, Code RNCP 35534, code NSF 313.

This certification is accessible by VAE.

What are the pedagogical methods of the INSEEC Bachelor program?

Teaching methods

  • Lectures and interactive courses
  • Situational exercises through collective or individual case studies carried out by the students
  • Conferences, seminars and educational visits

Evaluation methods

The three years of the program alternate between concept acquisition and practical application.

Each semester is validated by the award of 30 ECTS credits. Progression through the Bachelor’s program is achieved by validating the semesters one after the other, i.e. 180 ECTS credits acquired at the end of the 3-year program. The evaluation of the students’ knowledge acquisition is done through continuous controls followed by mid-term and final evaluations at the end of each semester.

Methods and tools

  • The evaluation methods are face-to-face, in the form of continuous assessment or final exams in the form of mid-term exams.

What are the tuition fees for the Real Estate & Finance program?

Initial training:

  • For a 3rd year Bachelor’s degree : 8 900 €.

Continuing education (sandwich course) :

  • For a 3rd year Bachelor’s degree : 9 700 €.
