Two students of the MSc 1 Sport Management of Lyon are leading a participative financing project to finance one of the youngest in the world to finish an IRONMAN.

Flavien LANCE and Lucas VERWEIRDE, both students in their1st year of MSc I’INSEEC Lyon, have taken on the challenge of raising €2,500 in 50 days. This funding will help Lucas TA0, student at ECE Lyon, to participate to the IRONMAN European Championships in Frankfurt.

For your information, an IRONMAN is a triathlon composed of a 3.8 km swim, 180 km bike ride and 42 km run.

” This course project initiated by Julian DUPRAZ is a great opportunity to make our knowledge concrete. With the support of the sports crowdfunding platform I Believe In You, this is a real challenge for our athlete and for us. ” Flavien.

” This fund will allow Lucas TAO to finance his travel, his race number, as well as his accommodation in Frankfurt. It’s exciting to be able to help a young athlete to fully finance such a project !  Lucas

” Since November, we have been working in collaboration with the athlete, particularly on our communication plan and the rewards offered in exchange for donations. It is a work that pays off today because the newspapers talk about our project. Le Progrès gave us an article and France 3 Rhône Alpes offered us a report for the Grand Lyon edition. ”

For the time being, the fund has been online since last Friday and 13% of the amount has already been collected. Students have until the beginning of March to help Lucas TAO finance his dream: to become the youngest person in the edition to finish an IRONMAN.
