Since October 2015, Laurie Duran has been an assistant to the EURO 2016 Volunteer Program. Within a team of 2 people for the Stade de France site, based at the French Football Federation (Moving to the Stade de France next March), Laurie participated in the recruitment of the 1,061 volunteers for the Stade de France. Registration closed on December 10 and 22,673 people applied throughout France. Confirmations from volunteers are being received.

The volunteers represent 17 fields of activity, 55 missions, as much diversity as we have to federate. The first general training of the Stade de France volunteers will take place in March. To ensure group cohesion, we will also run a volunteer center that will open mid-May. Training is also an essential element, especially for managers who are the volunteers’ referents.

Laurie will then participate in the management of the 1,061 EURO 2016 volunteers dedicated to the Stade de France. “Euro 2016 is living an unforgettable experience!”

EURO 2016 but not only!

This is not Laurie’s first “life-size” event!
After graduating from high school, Laurie joined our post-baccalaureate program. Passionate about sports, she created and organized, as part of a 1st year project, the ” Motoball show ” (motorcycle soccer) in total autonomy. ” After having elaborated my project and built a provisional budget, I planned the event, ensured the administrative procedures and the requests for authorization, canvassed the sponsors, set up the logistics, established and set up the communication plan .”

She then did her end-of-study internship in Tignes, in the company Tignes Développement, as an assistant in the “Events & Activities” department. She is responsible for the day-to-day management of an entertainment department as well as for the coordination of events: X-Games, SFR Tour, Zaz concert, inauguration of a new sports and convention center, etc.
One of my missions was to organize, plan and ensure the smooth execution of the VIP transfers during the X-Games 2013. For these transfers, I was one of the interlocutors of sponsors and partners such as: Espn, Canal +, Canal + events, SFR, Jeep, Gopro, Funradio, Skullcandy, etc. I was also responsible for recruiting volunteers for the VIP transfer drivers, production, photographers and skidoo.

In 2013, after a winter and summer season at Tignes Développement, she continued her studies with a master’s degree in “Digital Marketing, Web Management and Social Networks” at Sup de Pub Lyon (an INSEEC Group school). She followed the first 6 months by correspondence because she seized the opportunity to work in Greece as an event communication manager for a company organizing art exhibitions in Athens and Istanbul.

She returned to France in early 2014 to continue her education in a work-study program at Optim Event Organisation, an event agency specialized in the organization of professional events. In March 2015, she obtained her M2 and was then hired for 3 months in this agency.

It was really important for me to gain experience in various event environments, like EURO 2016. Today I wish to evolve in the field of sports, an environment that makes me vibrate. If I have one piece of advice to give, it is to be 300% proactive! Don’t be afraid to get involved in associative or institutional events, it allows you to gain experience, create your network and differentiate yourself from others.
