On the occasion of their press relations course, the third year students of the Bachelor Digital Marketing and Communication of the INSEEC U. Chambéry campus worked throughout the semester with the tourist office of the Saint-Sorlin d’Arves resort. It was an opportunity for the promotion to put itself in the shoes of a real PR agency and to propose concrete ideas that will be… retained! Focus.

“Many thanks to the students for their interest in our needs and the station. Congratulations to the winners who we look forward to welcoming in the near future.”

The words are from Isabelle Arbuz, Director of the Tourist Office of Saint-Sorlin d’Arves. She had given the students a particularly interesting mission: to propose press relations solutions. All of this was done within a tight budget, to best support the development of the ski resort.

The mission was fulfilled by the entire class. The students used the media relations course to lay the groundwork. And also on quickly applicable theoretical concepts.

“First,we took the brief from the station as well as all the objectives set by our client,” says Julian Dupraz. Julian teaches the subject at the INSEEC U.campus. Chambéry campus.

“Then, we worked on the media kit so that the students could master and understand all the PR tools: press release, press kit or press invitation.

Divided into ten groups, the students then had to propose 4 R.P. actions during an oral defense. In front of their Program Manager Sarah Molina, and Isabelle Arbuz, who came especially for the occasion.

Very dynamic and original defenses!

Organized like real consultants in PR agencies, the students presented their project, while competing in ingenuity.

“At Bac + 3, knowing and mastering the different tools of press relations is an operational expectation in communication, which students will be able to use during their five-month internship, says Sarah Molina, who initiated this particularly concrete project for the promotion.

After an afternoon of defenses and lively deliberations, the group composed of Robin Chevallier, Guillaume Lorente, Aurélien Serra and Jules Corvellec was rewarded for concrete and feasible actions. Actions likely to be taken by the station. The four students were offered an all-inclusive weekend in Saint-Sorlin d’Arves.

Let it be said, at INSEEC U. Chambéry, we always combine business with pleasure!
