It’s official: the bonus for hiring apprentices, initially intended for all those enrolling in a course up to bac+3 level, has been extended to all work-study students (including those who sign a professionalization contract, under certain conditions) at master’s level. This bonus, amounting to 8,000 euros for all young people over 18, is a big boost for companies wishing to strengthen their workforce and train young people in the midst of the Covid-19 health crisis. This is a great opportunity for our students and future students looking for a work-study program, which will certainly reshuffle the deck in a recruitment context that has been severely shaken up in recent months.

Conditions to qualify for the bonus

This bonus, allocated by the Ministry of Labor, will be paid unconditionally to companies with fewer than 250 employees that recruit apprentices between July 1 and October 31, 2020. Large companies will also be able to benefit, “provided that they have reached a minimum threshold of alternating work-study students in their annual workforce by December 31, 2021 or that they are not liable for the additional apprenticeship contribution”, as stated in the amendment presented to the Senate on July 17, 2020 as part of the amending finance bill for 2020.

This aid will allow the company to finance almost the entire salary of its alternating students during their first year of presence.

What about work-study students on a professionalization contract?

A decree has yet to specify the terms and conditions of payment of this bonus for alternating students recruited under professionalization contracts.

There is no doubt that this bonus will boost hiring in a sector that is currently under pressure.

A large majority of the courses offered in INSEEC’s MSc & MBA programs can be completed on a sandwich course basis: our courses can be completed on a sandwich course as part of a apprenticeship contract or a professionalization contract. Our students, as soon as they are registered, are accompanied by our Career Center in their search through coaching workshops and job dating.

INSEEC’s MSc & MBA Career Centers are available all summer to answer questions from our students and admitted candidates:[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row type=””in_container”” scene_position=””center”” text_color=””dark”” text_align=””left”” overlay_strength=””0.3″”][vc_column column_padding=””no-extra-padding”” column_padding_position=””all”” background_color_opacity=””1″” background_hover_color_opacity=””1″” width=””1/4″”][vc_column_text]
