Quentin, a student in hisfirst year of the Bachelor program at INSEEC Bordeaux, did a sales internship at Hugo Boss:
“I chose the INSEEC Bachelor’s program because I always wanted to do business and after 3 years in biology, I took the plunge. The possibility of pursuing a Master’s degree is also a very important factor for me, as this is the path I would like to follow. I found my internship at Hugo Boss thanks to the school’s Career Center, which assists students in their research. I was put in touch with the manager of the Bordeaux store and after an interview that went very well I got the internship.
During my sales internship, my missions were varied. I had to take care of the needs and expectations of the customers during the sales, to take care of the logistics of the stocks or to take care of the good arrangement of the various articles in the store.
I didn’t have time to get bored during my internship, in fact I had to deal with some famous people. I have even made some sales totalling more than 3000 euros! If I had to tell a small anecdote, it would probably be the day when our iron curtain broke down, so we had to find a stratagem to let the customers in through the back of the store.
A step towards the world of luxury
This experience allowed me to improve my customer approach, I was able to apply my lessons in real situation. It was also an opportunity to confront myself with the professional world. I was finally able to overcome the little shyness I had left and better understand the workings of a company. I would like to find other internships in order to acquire new skills, but this time in areas that interest me more, aiming for positions of greater responsibility. I am particularly interested in marketing, finance and the world of luxury.
If the opportunity arises, I would also like to enrich my English during my internships because I think it is one of the most important things in today’s professional world. I still have quite a bit of time to accomplish all of this and find my way!”
