Currently on campus in Chicago for 8 weeks, Maïté, a 2nd year student at INSEEC Bachelor, tells us about her American experience. At the prestigious Harrington College of Design, she takes courses built in collaboration with the teaching staff on site and in perfect harmony with the American Dream.

“The Chicago Campus is truly amazing! We are fortunate to attend classes in a great building, located in the center of the financial district of the Loop. The professors push us to be the best we can be. Chicago’s educational program allows us to learn about how to do business in the United States, but also in many other areas (Digital Marketing, Human Resources, Cost Savings, Architecture). In addition, the group projects allow us to quickly put this knowledge into practice. These two months on campus were an unforgettable experience!

Why did you choose to go to Chicago?
M.: I did not have the opportunity to go to the London Campus last year. From there, I was desperate to go to the second campus offered by the INSEEC Group! Moreover, afterwards, I would like to work in the United States. Therefore, studying on an American campus seemed like an opportunity not to be missed!

What are your impressions of American culture?
The United States is a very diverse nation, which I find fascinating! After several stays in the four corners of the country, I am always surprised by its linguistic, culinary and artistic richness.

How are the classes in Chicago? Which course(s) do you enjoy?
As far as I am concerned, I am very satisfied with the quality of teaching at the Chicago Campus ! The courses are different from those I took in Paris but just as enriching, which is a real plus for my BBA course.
The courses I particularly enjoy are Business Ethics and Doing Business in the US. These two courses provide a solid foundation for students wanting to work in the United States!

How did you find accommodation?
With my friends we found an accommodation via the American network AirBnB. We are very satisfied with it!

What must-see place(s) would you recommend to your classmates?
First, I would recommend the must-see places like the Cloud Gate, known as the ” Bean“, the Art Institute of Chicago, Navy Pier, Sears Tower and the Sky Deck. There are also the Wicker Park and Hyde Park neighborhoods not to be missed! Finally, I loved visiting theUniversity of Chicago: the architecture of the buildings reminds me of the corridors of a famous wizard school, Hogwarts!
