A Savoyard at heart, and a 2014 Bachelor’s graduate, Damien Beaulin is a born entrepreneur.

His last year of studies in the Bachelor’s program, in an international curriculum to be sure to be able to go abroad, he did a double degree in Denmark, at the University College of Aalborg. His dream of escaping became a reality through his experiences at the Bachelor :

“Between the 4L Trophy in my first year, and an internship in Australia in my second year, it made me want to travel, to go and see elsewhere! The Bachelor’s degree allows for this, for travel, which opens the mind to other cultures and ways of working and considerably improves the level of English, which in my case was not sufficiently correct at the time of the baccalaureate.

On his return from Denmark, he did a one-year internship in a travel agency in Savoie, in the tourism field that he liked so much; then, the following year, he took a Master’s degree in “Start Up and Company Creation”, because he wanted to finish his studies without waiting.

What about the history of his company?

“During the Bachelor courses, and in Denmark, we already had many international market research courses, and then the master’s degree made me aware of the creation of a company because we had a good number of external speakers who had set up their own business; all this helped me in the development of my company, 1786.travel.

“1786.travel” today:

Damien is totally in the continuity of his professional project; he created alone “1786.travel” in 2015, the first incoming agency on a very specific territory: the authentic Alps!

It offers all other activities than skiing and hiking, such as: escapades on the Savoyard lakes or gastronomic and oenological stays.

It is his passion for his native Savoie that drives Damien to create unique stays, close to the treasures of the region and the people who make it live.

Damien embodies this new generation that wishes to promote and show the “real” Savoie: the one of breathtaking landscapes, of its generous inhabitants, of its outstanding craftsmen and of its rich, often unknown heritage.

We wish long life to 1786.travel, and it has already started well since Damien has just won the Trophy “Les Inédits des Neiges” of the CCI Savoie!
