Is it possible to change my master’s degree during the year?

You realize that your current training is disappointing. You decide to redirect yourself, but this step can be difficult. Indeed, each university or private school has its own way of entering the M2. In concrete terms, each master’s program manager decides on the conditions for admission to his or her program. In any case, you must have a good record. Preferably, apply to several courses, so that you have a fallback solution in case of rejection. You must be well informed, because only a few universities accept students who are changing careers during the year.

The IAE (Institut d’administration des entreprises) and business schools accept reorientations if they offer staggered start dates. They allow you to reorient yourself by integrating you into competitive programs, provided you have a good record and pass the written and oral tests.

How to justify your request for a reorientation in a master’s program?

You decide to change your master’s degree during the year. The reasons for such a choice can be multiple:

  • you have a new project that is close to your heart;
  • you aspire to economic stability and you choose an education with many opportunities;
  • you prefer a professional training to increase your skills in your work;
  • you want to work in a job that matches your passion;
  • you are experiencing learning and assimilation difficulties in your current training;
  • your initial motivation leaves you and you drop out.

How can I change my Master’s degree and enter the school year in February?

The best way to save time is to choose one of the courses offered by INSEEC (Institut des hautes Etudes Economiques et Commerciales). We have 2 choices of training in reverse entry and delayed entry.

Indeed, the MSc 1s have a staggered start date. You are in class from February to early July. You work 2 months in a company. Then, you go directly to the M2.

Also, the MSc 2 are doing a reverse start. You start the training with a period in a company. Afterwards, you join the students who take the classic courses in September, for 1 year. The training then lasts 18 months.

They are possible in alternation.
