In this series of articles, the program directors of the Lyon campus share their valuable advice in their areas of expertise. Today, Julian Dupraz, Director of the MSc 2 Sport Marketing and ManagementIn this section, you will find 3 tips for your integration into the sport.

In France, this sector is often an extremely popular field for students : many are called, but sometimes few are chosen, especially for those who make joining a professional club one of their priority objectives. Here are three tips to help you succeed in your integration into the world of sports. Focus.

1. Volunteering… the BIG gateway !

Showing off, being seen… giving your time. The sports world, especially associations, is in need of volunteers. And that’s where you have a big card to play. Apply as a volunteer in your soccer, tennis or rugby club, or in your sports association that will soon be organizing its end-of-year tournament. There is always a great need. And this several times. Beyond the human aspect, which can be very rewarding, the club will remember it. And the day he is looking for a collaborator, he will surely think of you. Giving to receive, then.

2. Scour the leading addresses daily…

The sports world is full of its own specificities : of course, all the offers for work experience, internships or jobs can be found on the usual platforms. But there are key addresses ! So, every day, you should take the time to scan the ads on sites like Sport Buzz Business, Sport Stratégies, Sportyjob, Global Sport Job or Sportcarrière. And of course, LinkedIn and the influencers in the sports world should not be neglected. Follow the personalities who regularly share offers on their profiles.

3. And read every day !

To work in sports, the notion of passion is essential. But not only ! It is also important to understand that the economic data has now evolved and that the profiles that work there are increasingly specialized. In addition to the MSc in Sports Marketing and Management that you are studying at INSEEC U, it is important for you to keep up to date on sports news. And not only about your favorite sport ! Every day, find out about the latest Nike contract, the latest handball club sponsor or the latest TV rights increase. You must be INCO-LLABLES ![/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row type=”in_container” scene_position=”center” text_color=”dark” text_align=”left” overlay_strength=”0.3″][vc_column column_padding=”no-extra-padding” column_padding_position=”all” background_color_opacity=”1″ background_hover_color_opacity=”1″ width=”1/1″][divider line_type=”No Line” custom_height=”32″][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row type=”full_width_background” scene_position=”center” text_color=”dark” text_align=”left” overlay_strength=”0.3″][vc_column column_padding=”no-extra-padding” column_padding_position=”all” background_color_opacity=”1″ background_hover_color_opacity=”1″ width=”1/4″][image_with_animation image_url=”21113″ alignment=”right” animation=”Fade In”][/vc_column][vc_column column_padding=”no-extra-padding” column_padding_position=”all” background_color_opacity=”1″ background_hover_color_opacity=”1″ width=”3/4″][vc_column_text]
