The Chambéry Campus did not wait to take the lead after the announcement of the complete closure of its campus following the Coronavirus crisis.
Indeed, for several days now, and under the impetus of Director David Bouvier, all courses – INSEEC BACHELOR, INSEEC SPORT, CESNI and MSc programs – have been digitalized. A way to maintain the training content for the 1300 students of Savoie.

Be responsive. Add a lot of agility. And finish it all off with a good dose of availability : this is the clever mix that the INSEEC Campus in Chambéry has just succeeded in achieving, with the implementation, since Monday March 16, 8:00 am, of 100% online courses for all its students.
” The health crisis that France is experiencing and the firm decisions taken by the Government have disrupted teaching, with the result that we are unable to give face-to-face classes,” says David Bouvier, Director, who is in charge of the program.
” We therefore had to quickly find a solution, with the priority being the continuity of our teaching with our students, because it was out of the question that they would not be able to access the training that we had committed to provide,” continues David Bouvier.
CESNI’s expertise
In Chambéry, the experience of online programs, via CESNI has been a real strength.
” We had a certain mastery of the tools,” says Stéphanie Vallet, who is in charge of this aspect on campus, and whose words were quickly corroborated by those of David Bouvier.

The future of blended learning
Because beyond the speakers, the host companies were also waiting for the training offered during this complicated period.
” There is not much time left before the end of the MSc students’ stay at the school, only 15 days “, reminds Christine Visentin, head of the Corporate Relations and Admissions Department.
” Moreover, several companies have contacted me to thank us for the school’s responsiveness in this educational continuity plan,” says the head of the school.
So, how does an e-learning course work in practice?
Invited to join Skype Enterprise, students are connected via the platform and can follow the speaker’s course.
” I was a little apprehensive, even though I was already using interactive tools in the classroom,” says Michele La Pusata, Head of Business Development and Business Engineering Programs.
Starting Monday at 8:00 am, he taught a course in “Complex Negotiation”.
” The students really played the game, and they were all there ! I was expecting something more messy, well not at all ! ”
Indeed, it is different from a face-to-face course.
” The pace is different because the level of attention is not the same. It is therefore necessary to capture the attention of the learner, who is not in the usual learning condition. We also need to give him exercises, check exams to evaluate his skills”, says David Bouvier.
From there to supplant the usual course ?
” E-learning can be an occasional alternative to face-to-face teaching,” says Véronique Rodari, who teaches a course on “key account strategy” to her MSc 2 Trade Marketing and Retail class. ” A satisfaction in the end too. “
” Despite the screen barrier, the course was really interactive ! “
For David Bouvier, this online device is a very good complement.
” I think that the future is to use blended learning, that is to say face-to-face with online, while changing our teaching methods. This moment in our common history will allow us to go faster in the integration of online in our businesses because we have lost time on this subject, he concludes.
