The main objective of the consulting missions proposed within the Masters of Science programs of INSEEC is to professionalize our students by making them work directly with our partner companies. The students answer a problem submitted by a company at the beginning of the consulting mission and must provide a concrete solution.
As part of a consulting mission, students in the Master of Science Fashion Marketing, Design & Brand Strategies program at INSEEC organized The Cosmoparis Xperience: an immersive promotional evening for the shoe brand Cosmoparis in collaboration with the company’s teams.
Preliminary work of the students
The students had a lot to think about when the Cosmoparis teams presented the project to them. The goal? To highlight the brand in an original and playful way, during the Spring/Summer 2022 Fashion Week at the end of January!
Working in groups, our students brainstormed to come up with an idea that the Cosmoparis team liked. During the reflections led by the students, the Ladurée teams joined the project through Ronan LE MESTRE, Alumni of the INSEEC Bachelor and International Director of the brand. Our Alumni keeps strong links with his former school to which he is very attached and with which he collaborates regularly. Cosmoparis was enthusiastic about this association and has a ” very nice synergy ” according to Céline Kou-rouvrais, Regional Manager for France at Maison Lejaby, who has been involved in the MSc and supervised the students’ work over the past few months.
The idea is this:
To discover in a playful and artistic way the five senses (touch, sight, hearing, smell, taste) through the two brands. The guests parade through the rooms, each of the rooms representing a sense.
In short, it is an immersive experience that awakens the senses of guests to see, smell, taste, touch and hear Cosmoparis and Ladurée.
Once the idea was validated by the two companies, the students worked on the name, the scenography, the course of the event, the communication… They discovered the importance of a methodical organization, the rigor required for the programming of an event as well as the universe of the luxury brands for which they worked.
The course of The Cosmoparis Xperience
On January 27, 2022, the students of the MSc Fashion Marketing, Design & Brand Strategies welcomed the students of INSEEC’s Luxury & Wine specializations as well as all of INSEEC’s partner companies on thefirst floor of the Ladurée restaurant on the Champs-Elysées.
Each student was assigned to one of the 5 senses in the dedicated rooms to bring The Cosmoparis Xperience to INSEEC’s partner companies in the Luxury and Wine specialization.
Thierry LE GUÉNIC, “the new emperor of fashion ” according to the Entreprendre.fr website and purchaser of the Cosmoparis brand, was present on this occasion. His speech inspired the students present at the event. By underlining the value and the notoriety of INSEEC’s trainings, Thierry LE GUÉNIC insisted on an essential point: the most important for the students, ” it’s not the degree, but what you do with it! “The audience present that evening, including partner companies, approved of his speech.
Company managers such as Thierry LE GUÉNIC all recognize this: it underlines the importance of offering our students training courses that are as close as possible to current professional concerns so that their diploma is valued on the job market. The training must provide students with all the necessary weapons to blossom and develop professionally, hence the crucial importance of consulting missions within our pedagogy for the future careers of our students.
