Sami is finishing his third year of Bachelor in Chambéry. He flew to the United Arab Emirates for his professionalization internship a few months ago. A look back at an extraordinary adventure in a confined space in Dubai!

Sami fell in love with the city of Dubai, during an educational trip organized by his school during his second year of Bachelor.

It’s an enchanting, attractive, and terribly lively city!” our young student explains enthusiastically.
As a hub of international trade and a new luxury territory, Dubai was a perfect fit for Sami. In the first year, he chose the “International business” track (including a progressive intensification of courses in English), followed by a third year specializing in ” Digital marketing and communication “. Sami was satisfying his appetite for digital.

Sami got an internship at the Delta hotels by Marriott, a luxury hotel located a hundred meters from Jumeirah Beach. The internship ideally combined missions in digital marketing and the possibility to evolve in an international context. By perfecting English every day.

Within thehotel,” says Sami, “weI am Assistant to the Marketing Director. I work alongside the Graphic Designer. In line with the strategic objectives of the management, I am in charge of the redesign of the marketing tools for the different restaurants of the hotel. I had the chance to participate in the design of the menu of the restaurant-bakery of Pascal Tepper, Meilleur Ouvrier de France 2000.

A concrete application

What Sami was able to put into practice immediately after his semester of specialization in “Digital Marketing and Communication”?

First, an understanding of the issues related to digital marketing as a lever for business development. And more particularly the place occupied by social networks in the promotion of it.
Secondly, his graphic vision and his ability to approach projects with methodology.

Sami’s daily life has been turned upside down by the international health context. For the safety of its employees, the management of the Delta hotels by Marriott has placed them in lockdown. But Sami, who has had great interpersonal skills since his first year of his Bachelor’s degree, was able to adapt immediately to take advantage of the situation, attend the daily video conference briefings and organize his work independently. The rest of the time, Sami read, educated himself, practiced sports. What else ? !
